Betty Louise Clawson Gundy, 87, of New Alexandria, died Thursday, June 26, 2014, at Greensburg Care Center. She was born Sept. 16, 1926, in Tunnelton, a daughter of the late Harry Dunmire and the late Martha Boyer Dunmire. She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a self-employed dairy farmer. Betty was a member of United Presbyterian Church of Blairsville where she was a deacon. She was a former member of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of New Alexandria. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Barry Dell, in 1986; her first husband, Dell Clawson, in 1998; her second husband, Nelson Herbert Gundy Sr., in 2012; and her siblings, Blanche, John, Leonard, Marjorie and Dorothy. She is survived by two sons, Terry Keith and wife, Mary, of Cookville, Tenn., and Randy Lee and wife, Pam, of Derry; grandchildren, Kathy and Brian Clawson, of Philadelphia, Jackie and Jenny, of Tennessee, and Tiffany and Nettie Clawson, of Derry; four great-grandchildren; and stepsons, Herbert Gundy Jr. and wife, Jean, of New Alexandria, and David Gundy and wife, Cheryl, of Lockhaven. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 30, 2014, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington Streets in New Alexandria in charge of arrangements. Service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at the funeral home, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, with the Rev. Tim Monroe officiating.
