Bertha E. Patrick, 92, of Greensburg, died Friday, March 14, 2014, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. Born Aug. 1, 1921, in Carlisle, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen (Gilbert) Phelabaum. She retired from the garment factory in Youngwood. Bertha was a member of St. Bartholomew Church of Crabtree, where she belonged to the Rosary Altar Society and Fellowship, and was a bingo worker. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, John C. Patrick Sr., on Jan. 24, 2012; brothers, Carl, William and Paul; and son-in-law, Larry Munz. She is survived by her children, Helen and husband, Frank Osikowicz, of Greensburg, John Jr. and wife, Peggy, of Derry, Veronica Munz, of Florida, and Nerian and husband, Donald Taylor, of Greensburg; a nephew, Larry Phelabaum; grandchildren, Mark, Francine, Rene', Shawn, Chris, L.J., Jason, Jim, Pat and Deanna; great-grandchildren, Ashlee, Amanda, Allison, Matthew, Nicholas, Nathan, Nolan, Caileana, Brody, Kayleigh, Jerry, Connor, Liam, Haley and Ryan; brother-in-law, Raymond Patrick and wife, Peggy; sister-in-law, Dolores Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation from 4 until 9 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, corner of Church and Washington streets, New Alexandria. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 18, in St. Bartholomew Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, pastor of St. Bartholomew Church, as celebrant. Burial will be in Calvary Hill Cemetery, Unity Township. St. Bartholomew Rosary and Altar Society will pray the rosary at 8 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
