Bertha E. "Bernie" Caldwell

Bertha E. "Bernie" Caldwell, 75, of Crabtree, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, in UPMC Presbyterian, Oakland. Born Sept. 13, 1936, in New Alexandria, she was the daughter of the late William Opsitnick and Mary C. Cimbalos Mangini Opsitnick. She was the office manager for Kaufman Eye Institute in Zephyrhills, Fla. Bernie was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church of Crabtree, where she belonged to the Fellowship and the Ladies Card Club. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Charles T. Caldwell. She is survived by her brother, William J. Opsitnick and wife, Mary, of Greensburg; nephews, William and Diane Opsitnick, of Luxor, and Randy and Kim Opsitnick, of Greensburg; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. There will be no visitation. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Crabtree, with Father Justin Matro, OSB, as celebrant. Interment will be in Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla. The P.
