Anna J. Shaw

Anna J. Shaw, 94, of New Alexandria, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015, in Latrobe Care Center. Born April 5, 1921, in Andrico, she was a daughter of Floyd Johnston and Helen Johnston. She was the owner and operator of Shaw Farm and a member of New Alexandria United Methodist Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David "Bus" Shaw, in 1997; adopted son, Walter "Bounce" Broome; and sister, Eleanor "Stumpy" Johnston. She is survived by a son, David "Mac" Shaw (Jacquelyn); grandchildren, Jeffrey Shaw (Sandy), William Shaw (Stacey), Ryan Shaw (Dayna), Harold Ramer Jr. (Hallie) and Terry Ramer (Bobbi Jo); great-grandchildren, Austin and Alec Shaw, Zachary and Brady Shaw, Adrianne and Maci Shaw, Abel Ramer, Stacia, Chloe and Melayna Morgan; and cousins Sally, Wilma and Marge. Visitation and services are private at the request of the family. Pastor Rhea Summit, of United Methodist Church, will officiate services. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, New Alexandria. P.
