Anna Marie Kula DeMary

Anna M. DeMary New Alexandria Anna Marie Kula DeMary, 93, of New Alexandria, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at home, with her friends and family by her side. She was born Feb. 14, 1924, in Hannastown, daughter of John and Anna Navelanko Kula. Anna was a housewife and homemaker. She belonged to St. James Catholic Church in New Alexandria, and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank DeMary, in 1989; her son Anthony "Tony" DeMary, who died in 2007; and three sisters, Dorothy Huchok, Helen Panigal and Betty Ulisse. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Jean Calisti, of Greensburg, and Luann Arrigonie and husband, David, of Latrobe; a daughter-in-law, Jo Lynne DeMary, of Midlothian, Va.; grandchildren, Anthony John DeMary, of Richmond, Va., Stephanie Hicks, of Midlothian, Va., Rebecca Calisti Tyburski and husband, Ronnie, of Jeannette, Dr. Carolyn Barbieri and husband, Jeffrey, of Hummelstown, David Grey Arrigonie, of Latrobe, and Dr. Justin Adam Arrigonie and wife, Amy, of Bullhead City, Ariz.; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jason, Colton and Baylor, Carter and Tristan and Alexa; a sister, Joanne Hare and husband, Jerry, of Greensburg; and a brother, John Kula and wife, Janice; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law, Pearl DeMary, Dorothy DeMary and Rose DeMary; and a loving and very special friend, Joanna Harvilla. Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017, at the P. DAVID NEWHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, 215 Church St., New Alexandria, newhousefuneralhome.com. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, in St. James Catholic Church, with Monsignor Larry J. Kulick, J.C.L., as celebrant. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont.
